Community Hall Rental Agreement Between the Sydney Riverview Ys Service Club and the Applicant(s)
I/We have read bellow and understand the rules and regulations pertaining to the rental of the Community Hall, and I/we agree to abide by them.
I/we further agree to exercise the utmost care in the use of the facilities and to reimburse the cost of repairing any damage arising from our occupancy.
An inspection is carried out before and after rental.
(1) The Hall shall be rented to adult persons only. The contact person(s) shall be in responsible for the duration of the function.
(2) The Applicant will be responsible for setting up the Hall. The Applicant will clean the Hall at the conclusion of the event. The list of expected clean-up is posted at the Hall.
(3) All garbage and recyclables are to be removed from the Hall by the Applicant.
(4) No unauthorized alcohol shall be permitted in the Hall. Consumption of alcohol may be permitted provided the user have a valid temporary liquor license. The Permit must be posted in a conspicuous place in the Hall during the event. Sydney Riverview Y's Service Club, in its sole discretion, taking into consideration the Hall and your proposed use of the Hall, may require you to purchase insurance and keep such insurance policy in force for the duration of your Contract.
(5) The Lessee shall ensure that children 12 years of age and under in the Facility are supervised by an adult over the age of 19 at all times.
(6) The Sydney Riverview Y’s Service Club accepts no responsibility for any items left in the Hall by the Lessee, organization members, or function attendees.
(7) It is understood that the Lessee shall indemnify and hold the Y’s Service Club harmless from and against all claims or demands with respect to the use of the Hall. The Sydney Riverview Y’s Service Club is not responsible for personal injury or damage or for loss of personal items or equipment of the Lessee or anyone attending on the invitation of the Lessee.
(8) As per the CBRM Smoking By-law, no person shall smoke or vape within a Community Recreational Facility or within a 20 metre radius surrounding any entrance or exit of the Community Recreational Facility. It is the responsibility of the person(s) renting the hall to ensure compliance with this By-Law.
(9) No unauthorized/unlicensed gaming is permitted in the Hall.
(10) Exit doors will remain unblocked.
(11) Hall representatives may be on site for the duration of your rental term and are required to perform certain tasks at the Hall. You agree to respect Hall Representatives instructions and understand that the representative is authorized to take any action necessary to ensure the terms and conditions of this Agreement are followed.
